CRCNA Ministry Involved: CRWM
Number of Positions: 8 to 10 team members, ages 18 and up
Expected Length of Service: 2.5 weeks
Dates Opportunity is Available: June 28 - July 15, 2012
Application due date: May 31, 2012
Purpose: To teach English classes to adult language learners.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Prepare for and teach weekday evening English classes. Teaching experience not required.
2. Be willing to share your Christian faith with others.
3. Build relationships with the community by staying open and flexible to the culture around you.
4. Live and worship with the community during the project.
5. Complete recommended reading, and orientation before departure to the country.
6. Report back to congregations and to individual supporters about the work of CRWM and our partners.
Qualifications:
1. Mature Christian committed to serving Jesus Christ.
2. Good oral and written communication skills, as well as reporting, planning and organizational skills.
3. Willingness to follow the community’s leadership in the project.
4. Able to withstand moderate physical exertion.
5. Compassionate and respectful of other cultures.
6. Proactive and able to work with minimal supervision in ambiguous situations.
7. Flexible, adaptable and able to view life with a sense of humor.

Support Services Provided: ServiceLink and CRWM agree to provide:
- Orientation materials.
- Ongoing logistical support.
- Support and assistance with fund-raising, if desired.
- The support of CRWM field staff and partners while on the field.
Requirements of the volunteer:
1. Complete and submit a CRWM volunteer application form;
2. Provide a current (within 2 years) criminal background check: including a vulnerable sector search.
3. Raise prayer and financial support by inviting churches and individuals to give to this opportunity.
4. Attend an orientation session in the Home Office (when possible, or by phone).
5. Adhere to 'CRCNA Standards of Conduct', 'CRCNA Crisis Management Policy' and any other applicable policies and/or procedures.
Financial Obligation of the Volunteer: please note that costs are estimated and listed in US funds
Travel to country – depends on departure city; approximately $1500 - $2500
Food - $250
Lodging - $500
In country transportation - $300
Ministry supplies - $50.00
TOTAL Estimated funds needed - $1100 plus airfare and other misc costs (visa, insurance etc.)
