
Opportunity Title: GO Conference Database Project Developer
Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan area (USA) or Burlington, ON area (Canada)

Time Commitment: 1 month (approximately)
Dates Opportunity is Available: January, 2010 until filled
Purpose: To assist the Missions Education & Engagement Team (MEET) in promoting missions webinars through the creation of a database of past Global Outreach conference participants. From this database MEET staff will be able to notify GO alumni of upcoming learning opportunities, thereby further equipping churches in their missions mandate and inspiring them in their Great Commission calling.
Specific Responsibilities:
1) To create a database in Microsoft Excel that includes:
• Participant name, e-mail address, phone number and mailing address (if available)
• Participant’s home church name, home church city, classis, Regional Missions Mobilizer name
• Date and venue of GO Conference attended
2) To work with Regional Missions Mobilizers and World Missions staff to obtain available information
3) To research and fill in missing information where possible
4) To develop a new registration tracking system so that the incoming participant information for upcoming events can transfer easily into the GO Conference database.
5) To liaise with CRWM Advancement Staff to dovetail this system with the developing On-Line Registration Form.
Qualifications:
1) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
2) Experience with on-line research
3) Have own computer with high speed internet
4) Respectful of others and a team player
5) Flexible, adaptable, and able to view life with a sense of humor
Expectations of the volunteer:
- Complete and submit a volunteer application form and resume/CV.
- Pass a background check.
- Most work can be done off-site, but occasional in office meeting is required.
- The position will be supervised by a Missions Resource Consultant. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance.
